This Soil Moisture Sensor can be used in your Arduino projects to measure the moisture in soil and similar materials. The two probes of the soil moisture sensor act together as a variable resistor — the more water there is in the soil, the better the conductivity between the probes will be, thus resulting in a lower resistance and a higher output. Features digital or analog output (analog output is more accurate), potentiometer for setting the digital output threshold value, Power (red) and Digital Output Indicator (green) LEDs, and a mounting hole for easy installation.
