The Neo/SCI Balancing Forces CD-ROM is computer-based interactive exercises on mass, friction, gravitational forces, and momentum for students in grades 9-12, and includes interactive exercises such as applying forces to a ball, landing a space shuttle on a platform, docking a space shuttle with a satellite, and exploring momentum with bumper cars, and is available as an individual or network license. A basic balancing forces trainer allows students to move a ball into a box by applying forces of the right magnitude in the right direction. Changes to X and Y values for force allows students to observe differences in how the ball moves.

The Neo/SCI Balancing Forces software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista, and Mac OS 7 or higher, or OS X, and is available as an individual or network license. An individual license is valid for a single installation; a network license is valid for an unlimited number of installations in a single building. The software comes in a 7.5 x 5.25-inch (H x W) plastic clamshell case. (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.)
