- This do-it-yourself soldering kit is designed to teach the basics of switch-mode circuits. Includes all the components needed to build, along with illustrated assembly instructions.
- Once assembled, you can generate regulated +12V and -12V voltages from a 9V source such as a 9V battery
- Test points are provided to view switching wave-shapes on an oscilloscope. An on-board 1 Ohm resistor in series with ground allows measurement of current drawn from 9V supply. Calculate efficiencies at various loads. Outputs can have an isolated ground or a common ground with input via jumper.
- Intermediate skill level - requires some previous knowledge of electronics, as well as good soldering techniques for medium dense boards. Assembly with a soldering iron is required (solder and soldering iron are not included).
- Requires a 9 volt battery (not included)
